Mathias Schifferdecker

Mathias Schifferdecker encountered high-quality furnishings at a very early age, as his parents ran their own exclusive furniture store. This formative experience was complemented by his strong inventive spirit, leading to some of the most diverse developments in products and designs. He’s won several awards, including the Red Dot Design Award in 2016 for two innovative lamp designs. The engineer and designer is the man behind the CL1 light, which has been on display at the Museum of Modern Art in New York since 2018.
